After the success of its first launch in January, Martello Hall in Hackney (pictured), Albion & East is set to launch a second site in Brixton, London SW9, this September.
Canova Hall will be a two-storey 4,579 sq ft venue that takes influences from its past - a dining hall and digs for the UK's first department store - with exposed brick, Edison light bulbs and quirky vintage furniture.
Like its sister site, the south west London branch will be a cafe and relaxed workspace during the day, with hot-desking, fast Wi-Fi and coffee, and will then transform into a cocktail bar and restaurant in the evening.
The venue will focus on Italian food, importing an authentic wood-fired oven from Italy for pizzas made form 48-hour fermented dough, as well as pasta dishes and snacks.
Drinks will be served from a cocktail trolley, and tables can book their own bartender to mix their drinks. Plus, there will be a gin distillery on site.
