Harbour & Jones creates new Head of Venue & Event Sales role

Leading London caterer, Harbour & Jones has today announced the appointment of Emma Jones to the newly created role of Head of Venue and Event Sales.

In the internal appointment, Jones moves from her current role of Sales and Marketing Manager at the RSA House. In her new role, Jones will be responsible for directing and influencing the performance of in-venue sales teams to achieve and exceed targets, as well as reporting sales and developing marketing strategies.

Since joining the company two years ago, Jones has been based at the RSA House where Harbour & Jones runs the catering, front-of-house and venue sales and marketing under its sub-brand H+J.

Jones joined the Harbour & Jones family from her previous role as Corporate Sales and Events Manager at Coca Cola London Eye, the London Eye Barracuda and the Riverside Rooms, County Hall, all part of the Merlin Events London portfolio. Her previous experience also includes the role of Business Development Manager at Ascot Racecourse and Sales and Business Development Executive for EDF Energy London Eye.

While at the RSA House, Jones led a five-strong team that focused on corporate, weddings, social and internal client bookings, playing a key role in driving the most successful financial year for Harbour & Jones in the 2016/17 period.

At the beginning of the year, she was voted 25th in Event Magazine’s Top 100 Club 2017.

Jones said, “I am absolutely delighted to have been promoted to Head of Venue and Event Sales at Harbour & Jones. I’ve had two very exciting years working with the Harbour & Jones family as Sales and Marketing Manager at the RSA House but I am now looking forward to a new chapter in my career journey, helping to contribute to the company’s continuing success as London’s leading caterer.”

Patrick Harbour, Co-Founder and Director of Harbour & Jones, added, “We are thrilled to appoint Emma as new Head of Venue and Event Sales. Emma has a proven track record for driving success within the business while working at the RSA House. I know that in her new role, she will continue to offer significant contribution to the exciting plans we have here at Harbour & Jones for the coming months and years ahead.”
