RBH launches spa therapist championship

The UK’s leading independent hotel management company has launched its search for the top spa therapist in the country in partnership with luxury beauty brand ESPA.

Redefine|BDL Hotels (RBH), which operates more than 75 hotels across the UK, has declared entries open for the Spa Therapist of the Year Awards across its 23 luxury spa hotels, including The Midland hotel in Manchester, Leeds’ Oulton Hall and the Westerwood Hotel and Golf Resort near Glasgow.

Up to two star therapists from each property can be nominated by their ESPA spa manager. A shortlist of five candidates will then be selected and undergo mystery shops by ESPA, the portfolio’s partner product house.

The overall winner will be unveiled at a glitzy award ceremony this summer and will receive an ESPA spa day for two, £200 in vouchers and £100 of ESPA products in addition to the impressive title.

Dave Heap, director of Spa and Leisure at RBH, said, “The inaugural Spa Therapist of the Year Awards were such a success last year that we were excited by the prospect of making the awards an annual affair.

“Our current champion Elaine Fisher from the Westerwood Spa and Golf Resort was such a worthy winner and we know there is such as wealth of talent within our luxury ESPA spas that the competition will be fierce again this year.

“Each of our 23 luxury spas work with natural products and treatments from ESPA and we’re delighted to have this luxury beauty purveyor assist us in our search for this year’s top therapist.”

Participating spa hotels, operated by RBH, are formerly of the QHotels portfolio.

ESPA offers a range of natural products and treatments to help you look and feel your best every day. Its Tri-Active formulations contain unique combinations of plant actives, marine actives and essential oils to create the most effective, natural products.
