RA wins 3-year catering & hospitality deal with Imperial War Museum

Premium hospitality company, Restaurant Associates Venues has secured the contract to provide catering and hospitality services at the iconic Imperial War Museum London.

The new contract strengthens the relationship between Restaurant Associates Venues and IWM Group, who already provide catering services at IWM Duxford, HMS Belfast, Churchill War Rooms and IWM North.

Founded in 1917 and situated nearby to popular commuter hub Waterloo, IWM London is the world’s leading museum of war and conflict. The iconic atrium leads to galleries, displays and temporary exhibits all of which tell stories of people whose lives have been shaped by war, from the past right through to the present day.

The new three year contract sees Restaurant Associates Venues take on all food and beverage operations for both day catering as well as events at the prestigious venue. Located just off the main atrium, on the ground floor, the Café at the IWM London offers visitors a range of hot and cold food options made fresh using only the finest seasonal produce.

Overseen by Restaurant Associates Venues Group Chef Ian Human, menu highlights include seasonally changing sourdough pizzas, healthy salads and specialty sandwiches as well as classic British puddings and children’s meals. As well as the refreshed menu, IWM London will open a terrace café, for guests to enjoy an al-fresco snack or meal in the grounds of this impressive historic building.

Managing Director of Restaurant Associates Venues, Steve Chandler, said, “Restaurant Associates Venues and IWM Group have enjoyed a long and prosperous relationship and we’re delighted to welcome the prestigious IWM London to our portfolio. IWM London is a leading museum that attracts people from all corners of the globe and we’re excited to offer our seasonal menus to visitors.”

Gemma Brown, IWM Head of Commercial Events, Experiences and Catering, commented, “IWM London offers a full day out for visitors with so much to experience and explore. It's really important that we can provide our visitors with a great place to relax and grab something to eat and are delighted to be working with Restaurant Associate Venues who will be enhancing the food and drink offering at the museum cafe.

'We are also looking forward to opening our outdoor seating very soon which will be perfect for the summer months ahead.
