Chiltern Railways appoints Servest to deliver cleaning services to stations

Facilities management provider, Servest Group has won a contract with Chiltern Railways to deliver cleaning services to stations served by Chiltern Railways.

The contract, which began on 1st June 2014, and will run for three years with a two-year extension option, will see Servest staff delivering comprehensive station cleaning services to 23 of Chiltern Railways’ stations.

The contract builds on Servest’s existing relationship with the train operator to refurbish the public toilets at London Marylebone as well as other non-contractual work on the behalf of the client.

Rob Legge, Group CEO UK and Europe at Servest, said, “Servest is delighted to be appointed by Chiltern Railways to deliver cleaning services to 23 of Chiltern Railways’ stations. We have already established a great working relationship with Chiltern Railways and look forward to building on that by delivering service excellence.”

Chiltern Railways has provided rail services along the M40 corridor between London and Birmingham and London Marylebone to Aylesbury via Amersham along the London Underground Metropolitan line since winning the franchise in 1996.

In 2002 Chiltern Railways extended their operations as far as Kidderminster and in 2004 they took over services between Stratford-upon-Avon and London. Next year, they will also begin running services from Oxford Parkway to London Marylebone and from Oxford to London Marylebone in 2016.

Chiltern Railways is part of Arriva plc, the division of Deutsche Bahn AG responsible for regional passenger transport outside of Germany.
