Willmott Dixon to build school for University of Birmingham


Construction company, Willmott Dixon is understood to have been awarded a £20m contract to build and design a secondary school for the University of Birmingham.

It will be the first free school to be run by a university, aimed to help children from all backgrounds into top institutions.

The new 1,150-pupil school is set to be located at the University’s Selly Oak site, which is close to the main university campus and its facilities. The building work is due to begin within the next few months.
