The brand's current proposal would see floors two to seven of the building being converted into an aparthotel. Lower floors of the building are currently occupied by high street retailer TK Maxx.

The sites offer a 'Grab and Go' food and beverage selection in each lobby. All rooms have a kitchen, spacious living area and a flatscreen TV.

Aparthotels already operates sites in Chester, Manchester, Leeds, London, Newcastle and Nottingham, and are looking to looking to also open in Harrogate and York.

This autumn, the group will be opening new venues in London Stratford and Manchester Corn Exchange.

The company is also expanding its current 14 bed aparthotel in Newcastle to offer an additional 74 new generation serviced apartments, which will also launch this autumn.
