Choice Hotels, the family owned and run International hotel group, is to add two sites to its portfolio after acquiring a site each in Manchester and Richmond.
Choice will convert the Premier Inn Manchester North into its Comfort Inn brand, with 42 rooms, and then the Richmond Gate Hotel in Richmond (pictured), South West London, will become the Clarion Collection Hotel Richmond Gate with 68-rooms.
The new properties take the number of new hotels for Choice in 2013 to 11.
Choice Hotels Europe UK chief executive Duncan Berry said: “We are delighted to announce the first Comfort brand hotel in Manchester, bringing the total number of Comfort hotels in the UK to 18. The addition of Clarion Collection Hotel Richmond Gate brings the number of hotels across all brands in our UK portfolio this year to 46.”
He also announced that there would be more Choice Hotels opening in 2014.
