Hatch Mansfield has officially achieved B Corporation (B Corp) certification, joining a global movement of businesses committed to positive social and environmental impact. Verified by B Lab, the nonprofit organisation behind the B Corp movement, this certification reflects Hatch Mansfield's dedication to high standards of transparency, accountability, and sustainability, going beyond shareholder value to benefit people and the planet.
The certification process is rigorous, requiring applicants to achieve a benchmark score of over 80 while demonstrating socially and environmentally responsible practices in areas such as energy use, waste management, water consumption, worker compensation, diversity, and corporate transparency. As part of the certification, Hatch Mansfield will also legally embed its commitment to purpose beyond profit in its company articles.
Hatch Mansfield is now part of a global community of over 9,500 B Corp-certified businesses. The B Corp movement in the UK is one of the largest and fastest-growing worldwide, with more than 2,400 companies across various industries and sizes. Notable names in the UK B Corp community include The Guardian, Innocent Drinks, Patagonia, Tony’s Chocolonely, The Big Issue, Elemis, and Sipsmith Gin.
As a B Corp in the wine industry, Hatch Mansfield is part of a group of businesses driving a global movement towards an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy.
