Selfridges in London has announced plans to extend its department store on Oxford Street with new retail and office space and a luxury hotel. Expansion plans were first put into place in 2003 but the £300m plans were called off as a various number of complications came to light. Highly acclaimed designer Renzo Piano will now become the architect for the company and believes that it is the right time to expand on to the grounds of the building.
