To mark national Afternoon Tea Week, the iconic Principal Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow is set to launch G&Tea – the perfect blend of afternoon tea featuring accompanying gins.

Afternoon Tea Week runs from 14 August – 21 August which ties in perfectly with the Glasgow landmark’s newest offering at its popular Champagne Central bar.

G&Tea will offer afternoon tea with a choice of two gin and tea infused cocktails. Five different cocktails will be on offer including Raspberry Iced Tea - made up of Ketel One Citreon, Chambord, cranberry and raspberry tea, lemon juice, sugar syrup and soda – and Honey and Gin-ger Punch which includes: Martin Millers Gin, lemon and ginger tea, lemon juice, sugar syrup and topped with soda.

For those who like to share cocktails the package perfectly paired for two people or more and offers a twist on the classic afternoon tea which has become a firm favourite with guests to Champagne Central.

Allan Wilson, Director of Operations, said, “We are delighted to present our new G&Tea package in line with Afternoon Tea Week.

“Afternoon Tea is very popular amongst our customers and we are always looking to keep this offer fresh and new. G&Tea does exactly this and with five Gin cocktails on offer.
“We look forward to rolling this out from 14 August onwards.”

Afternoon Tea with a choice of two gin and tea infused cocktails is priced at £32.95 per person.

Champagne Central recently underwent a sparkling makeover, upgrading its décor, creating luxury new seating areas, exclusive booths, beautiful marble tables and an extended bar to cater for its extensive Champagne and gin offering, and a striking new graphic identity.

The original domed ceiling, marble floors and regal pillars have been accentuated by the recent works, enhancing the character and making Champagne Central the perfect blend of a 21st century hotel bar with a nod to its rich heritage.
