Novus shortlisted for two 2018 Engage Awards

Novus, the leading bar and restaurant operator, is flying the flag for customer and employee engagement in hospitality having been shortlisted in two categories of the 2018 Engage Awards: ‘Best Online Customer Experience’ and ‘Best Use of Innovation in Employee Engagement’.

In its ninth year, The Engage Awards recognise excellence in customer and employee engagement across UK businesses. Novus faces stiff competition from top finalists outside of the hospitality industry, including Barclaycard, Direct Line, Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust, Sky and Three UK.

The award for ‘Best Online Customer Experience’ will go to the organisation that has demonstrated unsurpassed customer experience in an online environment. Novus is shortlisted for its ground-breaking digital platform, Late Night London, a listings website open to all operators to give them a shop window to 250,000 active users and over 30,000 visitors a month.

In turn, users have access to the ultimate online booking site, with reviews, news and an interactive ‘social wall’ for social media influencers and venues alike to share stories about their experiences in London.

The category ‘Best Use of Innovation in Employee Engagement’ rewards organisations that can demonstrate advances in their employee engagement that have made a positive difference to how the business operates.

This year, Novus ran its Bar Tender of the Year competition, a chance for its formidable team of bar tenders to showcase their skills in designing and executing new and exciting cocktail combinations. Entire venues came together to back their competing bar tender, working as one team to elevate the entry and strive for the title.

Simon Gaske, Customer Experience Director for Novus, commented, “We are honoured to have been shortlisted for two 2018 Engage Awards. Our plan with Late Night London was to turn the traditional review site on its head, creating a community with real stories, real experiences, written by real people.

'To be shortlisted for such a prestigious award is testament to the dedication of operators to the site, our teams’ hard work and the passion and enthusiasm of the Late Night London crowds.”
