The Peel Group has unveiled plans to build a £60m leisure complex at Gloucester Quays and the expansion and refurbishment of the Peel Centre retail park next door, potentially creating 500 jobs.
The leading infrastructure, transport and real estate company propose to build a state of the art cinema complex, restaurants and bars and a health and fitness centre. They also plan to convert the existing Cineworld building into retail units totaling 55,000 sq ft.
Peel hopes to start work on the projects early next year, with the opening scheduled for the autumn or winter of 2013.
