Shaftesbury Capital has announced the opening of Noodle & Beer at 27 Wardour Street in Chinatown London, offering an authentic Sichuanese experience in Europe’s top destination for East and Southeast Asian food and culture.
Noodle & Beer now joins a vibrant neighborhood on Wardour Street, alongside popular spots like Pochawa Grill, Kung Fu Noodle, and Chinatown Bakery. With a lively interior and 42 covers spread across two floors, including an intimate dining area in the basement, Noodle & Beer embodies the upbeat, social culture of the Sichuan region.
The menu at Noodle & Beer includes a variety of noodle-based dishes, complemented by a rotating selection of carefully chosen beers, including halal options, and rice boxes for those seeking an affordable grab-and-go option. Open until 03:30 am from Thursday to Saturday, the venue offers a lively evening-to-late-night experience, with DJs and game nights adding to the vibrant atmosphere at Noodle & Beer in Chinatown London.
Emma Matus, Head of Restaurant Leasing at Shaftesbury Capital, said: “Chinatown London is renowned for the strength of its authentic ESEA culture, which Noodle & Beer adds to with a hospitality experience that goes further than great food and drink. Its launch is a great way to kick off 2025, right in the midst of Chinese New Year celebrations, and with Wardour Street one of the busiest areas anywhere in the West End, we are thrilled for Noodle & Beer to join the line-up.”
Xiaoxiao Wang, Founder of Noodle & Beer, added: “Whilst a simple concept, Noodle & Beer is dedicated to bringing people together to enjoy the diverse flavours of Sichuan. Our Chinatown London site is a key location on the road to expanding the brand further, and we are proud to be a part of the destination’s unmatched ESEA community.”
The opening of Noodle & Beer follows Chinatown London’s Chinese New Year celebrations, marking the arrival of the Year of the Snake. The festivities featured the annual parade and lion dances through the neighborhood, with several vendors offering limited-edition food and drinks that incorporated traditional symbolism.
